3 Website Mistakes that could be Costing you Clients
Your website is often the first impression potential clients have of your business and here at Bloom & Co., we believe that that first impression should be irresistible and unforgettable!
So, is your website doing its job? Here are three super common mistakes we see (and super quick fixes for them!):
▸ Unclear Calls to Action (CTAs)
Your visitors aren't mindreaders, and so if we don't tell them what to do next, there's a high chance they're going to high-tail it off your website!
THE FIX | Make sure each page has a clear, actionable CTA such as “Book Now” or “Shop the Collection". Make these call to actions clear and familiar so we're not leaving potential customers to guess what we mean.
▸ Overloaded Navigation:
It can't just be us that get overwhelmed easily, and while having lots of options on your main menu can feel like a good idea, it can lead to visitors not knowing where to click!
THE FIX | Keep your menu simple and focused to guide visitors seamlessly through your site. As an additional tip, make sure you're using simple and familiar language to ensure your visitors know exactly where they need to head!
▸ Inconsistent Branding:
There’s nothing worse than landing on a website and then feeling a headache coming on because of the sheer number of different fonts and colours!
THE FIX | For an elegant and timeless feel, stick to 3-4 main colours. Have your base colours (normally an off-black and off-white for your main background and text) and then a couple of accent colours to highlight sections, buttons and links.
Additionally, your colours, images and text should have enough contrast to ensure they're accessible for all of your visitors, so look into adding some overlays to your images if you have text on top of them that’s a little hard to read!
